Candia Smith, DMH

Founding Director, Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Candia Smith specializes in a highly-effective combination of neurofeedback systems, integrative psychotherapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR).

Dr. Smith bases each treatment on more than 40 years of experience. As a Doctor of Mental Health, Dr. Smith had the experience of being a psychiatric resident for three years at UCSF. Her Masters Degree in Health and Medical Science from UCB has given her a deep understanding of the human mind and body. She maintains interests in nutrition and spirituality.

Dr. Smith has been in private practice in Orinda, California, since 1997. She has extensive experience as a clinical director and counselor for adolescents and troubled youth. Dr. Smith taught Addiction Studies at John F. Kennedy University for five years. She has also taught the Bootcamp and Introductory courses for the Neurofield Neurotherapy system.
